   What are Puck's intentions? Or what profit does he get from messing with people? Those are somewhat different questions.

   Puck wants to obey Oberon when he has to, but to have fun whenever he can, including when he's carrying out the fairie king's orders if he can. And what does Puck like? Mischief. Chaos. Disorder. He's like a kid spreading gossip in junior high to see what happens when people fight, only he has magical powers. (There is a long tradition of fairies with such powers and tendencies.)
