Summary
Puck and one of the fairies come upon each other in the wood. The fairy ascertains that Puck is that spirit who is mischievous and plays all sorts of tricks on humans and animals alike. Oberon and Titania enter with their various attendants from opposite sides of the wood (stage), still deep in their quarrel about Titania’s refusing to relinquish the changeling—a child secretly...
