    Bottom is an interesting character!  He is melodramatic and loves to be the center of attention. He has a good sense of humor and is funny even when he doesn't mean to be.  A prime example of this is when he is turned into a donkey and Titania falls in love with him. He is not the least bit surprised that she has fallen in love with him, despite his furry appearance and baying sounds!  He adjusts quite nicely to her attention and to her attendants' attention and has no problems asking them to fetch him various things.  Also, his marriage is clearly lacking passion and closeness.  Bottom is a dreamer who is stuck in a working class environment.  He has lofty goals and dreams, but will never realistically be able to achieve them.
