    One of the people that made the most important decisions is Grete at the end. She is the one that convinces the family that it is impossible that Gregor will ever be human again. Another important choice is also made by Grete. She chooses to feed and take care of Gregor in the beginning of the book. If she would not take care of him, then Gregor would have probably died.
