Posted by anzio45 on Thursday November 27, 2008 at 1:49 AMIn Book 4 of Metamorphoses the daughters of Minyas ignore the festival of Bacchus and stay indoors working - weaving and spinning, I think - but are rewarded for their impiety by being turned into bats. I don't recall any of them as having a specific name and I don't have a copy of Book 4 to hand to check but if I find out any more that might be of help to you I will pass it on. Good to know someone out there is still studying the Latin classics!
