Summary
Clytemnestra arrives in all her royal finery, accompanied by an entourage of Trojan women slaves. The Chorus greets her with respect, but Electra wastes little time in accusing her mother of casting her out from her home. To this Clytemnestra replies that she faults Agamemnon, who lured their daughter Iphigenia to her death at Aulis and then came home with another mistress.
