    A comedy of laughter is a seldom-used term relating to a form of comedy that relies on jokes which make one immediately laugh. As opposed to a tragicomedy or a more intellectual form of comedy, comedy of laughter is designed to provoke immediate laughs upon hearing the words spoken on stage.
