I haven't read this book, but my motto is if there are so many characters that I can't keep them all straight, then the book is too much work for me to read. I think maybe that's why I don't enjoy reading Dickens's books! I want to read for pleasure. I don't want to have to keep flipping back through what I've read to figure out who's who.
