Posted by lhc on Tuesday July 21, 2009 at 3:55 PMThe truth was that Jeffrey, aka "Maniac" had been essentially homeless, and sleeping in the shed behind the bandshell was a pretty comfortable alternative to what he was used to. Grayson tried to get Maniac/Jeffrey to go somewhere else to sleep, but Maniac insisted he was fine, and the "truth" of this statement was that Maniac knew he was going to survive at this point. Grayson had given him some butterscotch crimpets and some zeps (submarine sandwiches), and now there was somewhere relatively sheltered to sleep, and Maniac knew he was going to be all right.
