What are Lady Macbeth's criticisms of Macbeth?
When Lady Macbeth reads Macbeth’s letter in Scene 5, here reactions to the letter show that she is eager for her husband to be king.

Posted by scdaniel on Sunday March 8, 2009 at 1:47 AMHer primary criticism of Macbeth is the fact that she is not entirely sure he is up to the task of assasinating King Duncan. In one of Shakespeare's most memorable soliloquies, Lady Macbeth quotes:
Come, you Spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the one top-full of direst cruelty.
With this quotation, Lady Macbeth feels the need to cast off her traditional feminine role in order to "man up" for fear that her husband will not be able to when the time comes. She must be come stronger in case her husband should grow weaker.
