Posted by sullymonster on Monday December 10, 2007 at 6:38 PMLady Macduff appears only once. In this scene, she insults her husband for leaving her in pursuit of Malcolm and the restoration of the true king. At the end of the scene, she and her children are murdered by Macbeth's men.
Macduff had already gone to convince Malcolm to come back to Scotland with an army. However, when he hears of the murder of his family, Macduff vows to kill Macbeth himself. It is the death of Macbeth that gives the kingship back to Malcolm and therefore restores Scotland.
