Can Macduff and Macbeth be compared and contrasted?
How does each man define manliness and how does each man's wife criticize him for not being the man that he should be?

They are both honorable men--they both have families which they love and are faithful to--they both have the King's favor--they both have a weakness (Macbeth's is his ambition, Macduff's is his family)--Macbeth's fatal flaw causes his downfall. Macduff lives to fight another day, where Macbeth becomes the hated enemy of the state.
