[5.5.17] What does Macbeth mean by saying Lady Macbeth "should have died hereafter"?

Posted by danylyshen on Monday May 4, 2009 at 6:33 AMMacBeth is lamenting the passing of his wife and means that she should have died at some other time--not at the moment and definitely NOT by suicide. It is implied that she should have died of old age somewhere ages hence, but since she was a part of the heinous deed, she probably would have been executed or at the very least tortured or imprisoned.
