What other themes could be conveyed through the novel Lovely Bones besides Loss and Grief ?. I've got exams coming up and my novel essay is about this book . I've got the worst writer's block . Any suggestion would be much appreciated . :D

Loss and grief are actually subjects not themes.  A theme is a universal truth expressed as a statement, such as everyone sooner or later deals with loss by _____etc., or everyone gets over grief in their own way but some people do _____ to get over their loss. The character in ____ gets over their loss and grief by _________, ________, and __________. 

If you want to veer away from themes regarding grief and loss, you might consider discussing the idea that a child's intuition often reveals truth that adults have become too "busy" to see.  Think especially of Susie's sister, Lindsey, who relentlessly pursues the truth.

Another possible theme is a discussion of what a quest for vengeance does to an individual.
