    Here is a selection:

Ch. 4: He began to dance and his laughter became a bloodthirsty snarling.

Ch. 5: "(F)ear can't hurt you any more than a dream. There aren't any beasts to be afraid of on this island....Serve you right if something did get you, you useless lot of cry-babies!"

Ch 7: "'Kill the pig! Cut his throat! Kill the pig! Bash him in!'"

Ralph...was fighting to get near....The desire to squeeze and hurt was over-mastering.

Ch 8: "You're not wanted...So don't try it... See? Jack and Roger and Maurice and Robert and Bill and Piggy and Ralph."

Ch 11: "The rock struck Piggy a glancing blow from chin to knee; the conch exploded into a thousand white fragments and ceased to exist."

Ch 12: Ralph launched himself like a cat; stabbed, snarling, with the spear, and the savage doubled up.
