What is the irony of Ralph saying to himself "You'll get back" in Chapter 12? Compare it to when Simon says it in Chapter 7.

    Ralph will "get back" to his home, but he will never "get back" to normal after such a horrifying experience.  This type of irony is a little different from the verbal irony that Simon uses in Chapter 7.  Simon is really emphasizing the word YOU, knowing that he (Simon) will most likely be sacrificed.  That's his role in the book.  He knows that Ralph will make it, but he is unsure of the others, and is pretty sure that he won't make it himself.
