Lord of the Flies | Media Adaptations

Lord of the Flies enjoys the unusual status of being one of the few serious contemporary novels to have been made into a movie twice. The first, directed by Peter Brook in 1963 with an all-English cast, has been described as "compelling," but was only moderately successful at the box office.
