Lord Jim | Adaptations

The main film adaptation was a British production, released in 1965, starring Peter O'Toole as Jim and co-starring James Mason, Eli Wallach, and Curt Jurgens. Daliah Lavi played Jim's romantic interest, a small role well suited to her limited range of acting (she is chiefly remembered for her roles as sirens in 1960s espionage thrillers). O'Toole, however, was in his prime and his performance as the tortured and self-doubting Jim was superb.
