Critic Charles May argues that the best short stories were influenced by romanticism, realism, naturalism, and dealing with "the individual psyche than w/ supernatural events (as in Poe or later authors). Do you agree, why or why not? This is for an upper level American Short Story class. I will be writing a 6 pg paper for it. Any insight is appreciated!
