Compare and contrast the myths of Karna and Aslan.

Just trying to get some ideas of comparison and contrast.

    I'm assuming you mean Karna of the Mahabharata.  He could be compared to Aslan the lion, who is viewed as a Christ-like figure due to his willingness to sacrifice himself for Narnia, much like Christ died to save the sinners of our world, in that Karna was a warrior like Aslan.  Karna and Aslan also share similarities in their generosity toward others.

    Karna could be compared to Christ because of the idea of the virgin birth in both instances.  But it might be a stretch to actually find a great deal of similarities between Karna and Aslan without actually making Aslan into Christ Himself.  In other words, it may be that you end up comparing Karna to Christ, rather than to Aslan of the Narnia stories.
