You could check the link below to the eNotes information page on the book. The themes of the book would be a good starting point for developing a thesis. Also check the help link concerning how to write a research paper. This gives information on how to get started in the writing process, including thesis statements. Remember to choose something about the book that is of interest to you, and develop your thesis statement from there. Good luck!

Nope. I haven't decided on any topics. I am just scared I won't have that much to write about.

Has your teacher given you a list of topics to choose from regarding the novel, or are you free to make your essay on anything you want?

No, she didn't give us any topics to write about. We are free to choose. It has to be a literary essay though.

I am thinking of writing the essay with belief as the theme. I am trying to think of a thesis statement and what to write about..
