I've pasted links to each of them in the sources section. Masterplots II: American Fiction Series includes a summary of the novel, analysis of the characters, and discussion of themes and critical context. The Masterplots II: African American Literature Series provides similar information. The Cyclopedia of Literary Characters has a somewhat different analysis of the characters.
