   Miss Moore has a college education, and is capable of living in a better area than she has chosen. She wants to teach the youth to think for themselves and take in the world around them. The poverty-stricken neighborhood becomes her classroom for the children. No one has appointed her this tasks, she sees the need and takes the initiative. She takes the children on field trips in an attempt to show them the inequalities of society, and to encourage them to promote social change, not just accept their circumstances given to them.
