  1. Gordonta....

I have been cast in my local theater company to play Peck.  As such, I have been able to give his character alot of thought.

To me, the Bobby scene is there to give the audience two different facets of Peck.  First, it gives them the notion that he really is just a laid back country boy....a man who finds pleasure in the simple things in life.

However, it also gives the audience the information that Peck is a serial pedophile and not just smitten with l'il bit.  He gives off the notion of what will happen with BB in the tree house and does it with an almost comfortable knee jerk reaction.  Almost as if he can't help himself, but he most certainly preys....it's what he does.

I hope that makes sense for you.  Love to chat more with you about the character if you'd like.
