What are the guidelines for sentencing men who commit assault on a female? Thanks.
It is the man's first offense. He doesn't have a prior record. This occurred in North Carolina. How will getting a lawyer help the man? What is the likelihood that the charges will be dropped? Also, the girlfriend was charged with simple assault. Neither want to go through with the charges. How will that affect sentencing? Thanks.
