    The Federal Communciation Commission  F.C.C. was created in 1934 under the New Deal to regulate radio and later television content. The commission was updated an reorganized by the Telecommunciations Act 1996. There are many government sites you can visit to collect information regarding the role of the F.C.C. as well as specific court cases that have impacted public policy on the topic of violence on television.
