Why does the American Medical Association (AMA) oppose national health care and call it "Socialized Medicine"?

I am doing research about Moore's film "Sicko" health care in U.S.A.

If the USA goes to a national health care system, the doctors won't be able to charge as much money as they do now.  The government will set limits on charges for office visits, tests, medication, and other services provided by doctors.  This whole argument is based on money.  The doctors will also lose some of their rights not to accept a patient because they don't have money, or private insurance.  Socialized medicine is controlled by the government and that gives them the right to make laws, and set the prices for services.
