Shakespeare draws the two characters of Caesar and Brutus to illustrate this principle -- Caesar surrounds himself with lackeys and enjoys being Caesar and the power the title confers; Brutus wonders how the best governance of Rome can be accomplished, and resorts to assassination since it is the only method of removing Caesar, "who will not be moved" from his autocratic and spurious government. The difference may be described as Caesar being amoral versus Brutus being moral; Brutus' act is not so he can assume Caesar's role, but so that Rome can be appropriately governed for the benefit of all.
