John Montague is an Irish poet who concentrates in his poetry on themes of Ireland, family, love, and loss.  The enotes link referenced below has a very comprehensive article, taken from "The Critical Survey of Poetry", outlining Montague's background and examining the themes that run through several of his works.  Although the excerpt does not explore language and style in depth, I think you might find the section on "Analysis" helpful as it relates to themes and motifs.

    Good luck!
