"The Interlopers" is a Saki story written in the third person. A first-person point of view might imply some sort of bias on the author's part. The point of "The Interlopers" is to show the destructive nature of grudges and feuds. Neither family is "more right" or "more wrong" than the other, but their mutual hatred and suspicion slowly destroys each member. The two main characters are victims of this long-standing battle, killed by wolves as a result of their families' inability to reach an understanding.
