I teach Caged Bird to my 8th grade students, but always struggle coming up with activities or assignments they can do in conjunction with reading the book.  Any thoughts.....

if it isnt to late i believe having a class discussion is a great way to explain the book in farther detail...in my english class we are assinged so many pages to read a week then we will put our chairs in a circle and have a discussion...then on somedays she might spring up a quiz over those pages assigned to see if we are reading...but this is also preperation for a book report that is due..hope it works
