In chapter one, which section shows the use of rhetorical terms, diction, syntax, and tone to develop further themes.

I have to pick a section out of every so many pages that shows this and put it in a journal and tell how these things are used. I am a little confused. If i see a sample it would help me know what to look for for the rest of the book.
