     It is not Esperanza that directly expresses her feeling of unattractiveness. In the vignette entitled, 'And Some More', it is Esperanza's face that is compared to a fat puffy cloud. It causes a rift between her and her friends from Texas. As you read this passage the words "Esperanza's fat face, that's who" (Cisneros, 36) sting. Esperanza's feelings in this situation are palpable by the reader.
