If more images and/or videos like those in Restrepo were seen in the main stream news, would public opinion of the war change, be emboldened or stay the same?
Restrepo is a documentary about the Afghanistan war, which shows multiple soldiers breaking down emotionally, cursing, and in other words, showing the humanistic side of the soldier. It displays the U.S. losing the war, and the U.S eventually abandons its position there.

The depiction of the men that serve at the outpost named Restrepo present a number of different perspectives and show the viewer what the combat in Afghanistan is like for the Americans stationed there. The honest and open depiction can certainly change people's opinions about the war, as it is a more honest and gritty depiction of the conflict.
The actions that these young men take to try and fight the insurgents and to take care of each other are riveting and can stir up all sorts of emotion, in particular an outpouring of support for those young men as well as a desire to get them out of harm's way, to "save them."
