This is an nice way to phrase the question with respect to our justice system, because victims do not get much attention.
In light of this, I would want to see more tax dollars spent on victims to help them recover from their hardships. Perhaps something as simple as a recovery group of peers would be a step in the right direction. Another idea might be to have our social services tied to victims to follow up to make sure that they are doing well.
In short, if we spending so much money on rehabilitating criminals, we should also spend some money on victims.
