The Yalta Conference was held toward the end of WWII and was a meeting between the 'Big Three:' Winston Churchill (Great Britain), Franklin D. Roosevelt (United States), and Joseph Stalin (USSR). The point of the conference was to discuss and plan ahead for Europe's reorganization after the War. Each of the leaders had multiple objectives or points of discussion for during the conference such as:
1. United States sought Soviet support against Japan
2. Great Britain pushed for free elections in Eastern European countries.
3. USSR wanted control of eastern territory of Poland.
Stalin agreed that the USSR would aid the US against Japan three months after the end of the war in Europe.
