Both will stat falling with the same acceleration (i.e. 1g). The wildbeast has more mass, and greater surface area than the leaf. Therefore, it experiences greater gravitational force and also, greater air resistance than the leaf.
However, the impact of greater air resistance would not be apparent if one observes their free fall. A much greater force of air resistance is needed to cancel out the downward force of weight on the wildbeast. A very small air resistance can cancel the weight of the leaf. As such, the wildbeast would fall faster.
Terminal velocity is reached when the body under free fall no longer accelerates, i.e. at the point the acceleration due to gravity is actually counterbalanced by the air resistance. Being of a very small mass (and weight), a very small air resistance can cancel the weight of the leaf, and hence, it attains terminal velocity earlier.
The effect of the resistance forces on the wildbeast is very small because of its huge mass.
