There are different organizations, support groups, and resources available to address the needs of children having different types of special needs situations. Educators who are going to be working in a given special education specialty should avail themselves of the opportunities related to the area(s) in which they will be working. It's not practical to recommend websites or resources that would be beneficial for all areas of special education.
By entering "special education teacher resources" into your browser, you can find websites that provide links and resources for the wide spectrum of special education concerns. You could also enter the specific type of educational need with which you will be dealing and locate resources more specifically focused on that area. By getting in touch with your state's Department of Education or local education agency, you may be able to locate resources that are close at hand for a particular educational need.
