Why, most likely, didn't George Washington feel he could spend the winter of 1782-83 at home in Mount Vernon even though there wasn't much fighting going on?

a. His troops seemed to be in such an ugly mood.

b. It was too far to travel from where the army was camped.

c. It seemed likely that the British army in New York would invade the middle colonies again.

d. Martha wrote, telling him that he’d better stay with his troops until the war was over.
