A gothic drama contains horrifying and romantic scenes. Dracula can be said to be gothic because of the atmosphere of malevolent presence created especially on the ship. also images of destruction, fear, horror and death were presented when Jonathan Harker, the solicitor fell under the spell of the  female vampires. Another instance is the  fierce tempest that ran aground the ship.
