Why do people wish to study pharmacology?

There are many reasons why a person would like to study pharmacy. Let me give you three common reasons.
First, some people want to have a stable career where the pay is good and there is good job security. Pharmacy provides both, as the population is aging and our culture is depending more and more on drugs.
Second, some people really want to help people in their pain. Drugs are a great benefit to humanity. So, as a pharmacist, a person can help many people. This can also be achieved in research.
Third, some people like dealing with people who are in need. If a person works in retail, then there is quite a bit of interaction with people.
