The Canterbury Tales was written by Geoffery Chaucer.It is a collection of poems which introduces the speaker, a man named Chaucer who is travelling with a few strangers to Canterbury in pilgrimage. The parody's are told by different characters who assemble at the Tibard Inn to prepare for thier trip and also to aquaint each other, so as to make the journey more entertaining.The poetry has three essential parts which forms the entire collection. The first being The prologue, the second being the The tales and lastly the Talk on the Road.
