As with any choice, I think that there has to be an analysis of core beliefs and underlying assumptions before any decision has to be made. In this particular case, I am not sure that this particular choice, if real, can best be solved in this forum. I believe that it must be one that takes into account other voices and discusses individual action that is closer to what is felt and understood. The particular choice set here involves continuing individual study or committing to a job that helps out one's family. I think that the choice that needs to be made has to reflect one's own value system and the primacy of what one places on ideas. For example, if it is more important to help out the family, if an individual believes that the family bond is more important than anything else, my guess would be that to obtain the job that the family needs is more important. If an individual believes that being apart from the family and studying to further one's own career and aspirations is more important, then I believe the latter is evident. In this choice, I think that the decision made is dependent on what values are going to be enhanced with the decision made.
