Algerbra i used in many way, to calclulate sum of many different object: `3x+4y+5z` and `5x+2y+8z` , i.e if `x,y,z` are the price of different ariticle sold in a shop, if 3 object with price "`x` ", and 4 object with price "`y` " and 5 object with price "`z` " the sum:

`3x+4y+5z` stand for the total income.

Algebra tell us how to solve some problems:

I.E . if you want to cover a lane length 50 m with square tiles with sides of 25 cm, you have to operate a division: 5000/25=200.

Division that means 5000= 25 x x number of tiles.
