When `h` is divided by 10, the remainder is 6, hence we can write

`h=10n+6`

Similarly we can write

`k=10m+8`

So we get

`h+k=10n+6+10m+8`

`h+k=10(n+m)+14`

`h+k=10(n+m)+10+4`

`h+k=10(n+m+1)+4`

Hence when we divide `h+k` by 10 the remainder is 4.
