There really is no such thing as a sugar free juice. All fruits contain fructose, which is fruit sugar. Perhaps the question should be, when did no sugar added juices first get manufactured? One of the first companies is the Naked Juice company. In 1983, they first sold their juice product which was free of preservatives, no added sugar or artificial flavors. This company began in California and is a subsidiary of PepsiCo. The company was created by Jimmy Rosenberg in 1983, and he first produced the fruit drinks in his house and sold them at the beach in Santa Monica. The company has become huge and has expanded its markets to all 50 states in the U.S., as well as the U.K. and Canada.
