a wave is a vibration or oscillation in a medium.wave have energy which is trasfered from one point to another point.

Yes, a wave is a disturbance in a medium that transfers energy.  This means that something happens to interfere with the medium, and at that point energy is entered in.  The wave transfers that energy all along down the wave.  Think of a jump rope.  At first, if you pull it tight at both ends it does not move. If you move one end, that energy is transferred down the jump rope to the other end.
