What was the main sin of Hester Prynne?
I'm not quite sure about this. I sort of picked up from the book that her sin was unfaithfulness to her husband but I'm still not sure. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP!!!!!!!!

Hester's main sin was adultery. Her husband sent her to America before him, and she was involved in an affair and gave birth to a child. When the town fathers demand to know the baby's father, she refuses to tell them. As a result, she was sentenced by the town fathers always to wear a scarlet letter "A" on her chest, standing for adultery, as a badge of shame.
