The variance is the average of the squared differences from the mean.

Find the mean.  

`(82+44+67+52+120)/5`

` `The mean is:  `73`

Therefore to find the variance:

`((82-73)^2 + (44-73)^2 + (67-73)^2 + (52-73)^2 + (120-73)^2)/5`

Therefore the variance is: `721.6`
