B) tall, fast growing grass as well as scattered shrubs and trees

C) deciduous trees and shrubbery

D) predominately a few different species of tall grass

The answer is B) tall, fast growing grass as well as scattered shrubs and trees. 

See the following link for a description of the world's different biomes.  Each biome is described in terms of its climate as well as the plants and animals that are common to it.  There is also a world map showing the various biome locations.
